Security fog floods a protected space with dense, non-toxic fog the instant your alarm trips — cutting visibility to nothing, so a break-in can’t complete before anyone has to respond.
Security fog isn’t smoke. It’s a dense, water-based cloud engineered to make a protected space impossible to see through — in seconds.
Discharged the instant your alarm trips, security fog fills the room with billions of ultra-fine, light-scattering droplets. Visibility drops to less than an arm’s length, so an intruder simply can’t see the stock, the safe, the till or the way out. It’s the same proven fluid technology used around performers and audiences in theatre and film for decades — engineered here for density, persistence and total safety to people, stock and food.
Density’s WHITE OUT food-grade fluid is mostly purified water, carrying a small amount of food-grade alcohol (around 7–9%) — the same family of fluid trusted around performers and audiences in theatres and film studios for decades.
When the system fires, the fluid is heated and forced through a precision nozzle, flashing it into billions of microscopic droplets. Those droplets scatter light so completely that the air reads as a solid wall of white — yet the mixture is not classified as hazardous under EU CLP rules: no warning pictograms, no hazard statements.
As the cloud settles it simply re-condenses and evaporates. No residue, no film, no clean-up — on stock, electronics, paperwork or food.
A mostly-water, food-grade fluid that isn’t classified as hazardous under EU CLP rules — not a chemical irritant.
Far thicker than smoke or mist. It doesn’t thin into a haze — it builds a solid wall of white that hides everything in the zone.
It obscures vision but does not displace oxygen or harm the lungs. Safe if staff or a cleaner are unexpectedly on site.
Clears with ventilation and leaves nothing behind — no oily film, no damage to stock, paperwork, electronics or finishes.
The fog is cool and dry to detectors. Configured correctly, it won’t activate sprinkler heads or conflict with fire systems.
One discharge holds the zone obscured long enough to outlast any raid, and re-fires if the intruder tries to wait it out.
A fog system is only as good as the cloud it makes. A thin or short-lived fog buys an intruder time; an oily fluid rules out food, hospitality and clean environments altogether.
Density is engineered to avoid both compromises — a dense, long-hanging, food-grade cloud that’s as at home over a food production line or a restaurant as it is in a warehouse or a jeweller’s.
That’s why a single fluid covers our entire range, from the smallest Compact unit to a chained Line install.
Under EU CLP Regulation 1272/2008 the fluid carries no hazard pictograms, no warnings and no precautionary statements.
Leaves no film or taint on exposed food, packaging, surfaces or equipment — cleared for kitchens, production lines and hospitality.
Tested to ISO 3679:2015, the ready-to-use fluid does not maintain combustion — classified not inflammable.
Acute-toxicity, irritation, carcinogenicity and endocrine-disruption criteria are not met. Readily biodegradable, and unregulated for transport.
The generated fog has been tested in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, the food contact materials regulation — certified to come into contact with food products without altering their composition or organoleptic properties (taste, smell, appearance). It’s why Density can protect the food environments most systems can’t: production warehouses, bakeries, grocers, restaurants, pubs and bars.
The whole point of security fog is that it’s aggressive towards the crime and harmless to the person. Density systems are specified to UK standards and tested so the only thing the fog takes away is the intruder’s ability to see.
Vast, sparsely staffed floors that are wide open between 18:00 and 06:00. Fog zones each aisle before a crew can load out.
Smash-and-grab raids measured in seconds. Fog fills the shop floor before stock can be swept off the shelves.
The highest-stakes target there is. Fog protects display cases and safes where every second of visibility is worth thousands.
Counting rooms, ATMs and secure stores where the contents justify an instant, physical barrier to sight.
Controlled-drug stores and dispensaries that are targeted for resale value and need fast, contained protection.
Tools, metals and plant stored across large units, where opportunist and organised theft both hit hard out of hours.
