UK commercial alarms are excellent at detection. CCTV is excellent at recording. Neither is designed to stop a theft in progress — and the average response window is measured in minutes, not seconds.
Density is approved for use with NSI and SSAIB security systems. Connected to your existing alarm panel, it discharges a dense, water-based fog the moment a sensor trips. Visibility drops to under an arm's length within seconds. Intruders abandon. Stock stays put.
We'd spent years adding cameras, alarms and guards. Density is the first thing that actually stopped a raid while it was happening — not recorded it after the fact.
What each layer of security actually does at the moment a break-in starts.
Most premises already have alarms and CCTV, that's fine for passive recording. Density Security Fog is an active component in stopping theft from premises of all sizes.
Detects and records.
- 8–15 minute average commercial alarm response time
- £32,000 average loss per UK commercial break-in
- 3× higher chance of being targeted again within 12 months
- Evidence after the fact — but the stock is gone
Detects, records, and stops it.
- < 30 seconds from alarm trigger to fully obscured zone
- 97% of activations end without successful theft
- Repeat-target risk drops to near zero after first activation
- Full NSI/SSAIB documentation supplied with every install
It works with the alarm you already have.
Density connects to your existing intruder panel via a standard relay output. No new monitoring contract. No rip-and-replace.
Alarm trips
A PIR, contact or glass-break signal hits your panel. The Density relay reads the same signal — no extra sensors, no waiting on a monitoring centre.
Fog fills the zone
Water-based, non-toxic fog discharges from one or more generators. Visibility drops to under an arm's length in seconds. No residue, safe on stock.
Target unreachable
Intruders can't see the stock, the safe, the till, or the exit they came through. The vast majority abandon and leave within a minute.

Questions buyers ask first.
The honest answers on safety, integration, insurance, and what an install actually involves.
Or ask us directly →Will the fog damage stock, machinery, or racking?
No. Density fluid is water-based, non-toxic and non-corrosive. It leaves no residue on stock, electronics, racking or food-grade goods. Independent testing confirms safety in occupied commercial environments.
Fog dissipates naturally in 20–45 minutes with no clean-up required. We supply the full material safety data sheet with every quote.
How does it integrate with my existing alarm panel?
Density connects via standard relay output, compatible with all major UK alarm panels including Orisec, HKC, Honeywell, and others. No new monitoring contract is needed — your existing ARC keeps working as it does today. Most installs complete in a single working day.
Can it reduce my commercial insurance premium?
Density is approved for use with NSI and SSAIB security systems — both of which UK commercial insurers increasingly require for high-value stock cover.
We can't guarantee savings — but we provide everything they'll ask for to ensure you're set up correctly.
What does a typical installation cost?
Costed per site after a free survey. Single-zone deployments differ significantly from full-floor protection across multiple buildings. We provide an itemised, no-obligation proposal within 5 working days of the survey. Pricing starts from £1500, typical installs range from £2000 - £3000.
Is it safe if it activates while staff are inside?
Yes. The fog is breathable and non-toxic. It will obscure visibility, which is the point — but it does not displace oxygen, cause respiratory harm, or trigger sprinkler systems. CE-marked, EN-tested, food-grade fluid composition.
How fast can you install across multiple sites?
UK-wide approved installer network. Multi-site rollouts are scheduled out-of-hours to avoid trading disruption. Recent rollouts: 100 sites in 5 weeks for a national retailer; 38 sites in 1 month for a logistics group.
