Layering Security for a Licensed Venue

When thieves target a pub or bar, they exploit gaps. The unalarmed window. The stockroom with no fog. The broken check or procedure. Detection

Deterrent

Choosing the right fog coverage

Pubs and bars differ dramatically in layout. A small high street bar needs minimal coverage. A multi-room establishment with a basement cellar, upstairs function space, and separate office area needs much more.

Coverage is measured in cubic metres (m³), not floor area, because fog fills volume, not just surface. A small till area—roughly 3 m wide, 4 m deep, and 8 m high—equals about 96 m³. A basement cellar with the same footprint but only 2 m of ceiling height is 24 m³. Identify your highest-risk zones, measure their dimensions, and calculate the total volume you need to protect.
